We learned, the hard way, that there are several technical issues with Android Market. One issue that is an on-going problem is that uploaded apps do not appear in Android Market. It takes a few hours or even a few days.
If you're running into this problem or any technical issues, you need to log into your Market account, go to Help, then browse "known issues". Under the topic of the problem you're facing, click "report".
For us, the solution was instant. As soon as we reported the problem, our app showed in the Market (online) within minutes. But it hasn't appeared in the phone market yet.
